The Holiday Buggy was one of Tamiya's classic RC car kits from the 1980s and is now re-released as an assembly kit. The classic body comes mounted on the DT-02 chassis with a central battery mount, providing excellent handling performance, even on rough surfaces.

The bathtub type frame chassis features a longitudinal battery layout for a lower centre of gravity and optimum weight distribution. 4-wheel double wishbone suspension is equipped with coil spring shocks to provide superb off-road traction. A sealed gearbox protects against sand and debris and is equipped with differential gears to efficiently transmit the power from the type 380 motor. By installing a separately available Type 540 motor and corresponding pinion gear, more powerful driving can be enjoyed.

When installing a regular sized 540 motor, the following parts are required: 17T 0.8Mod Pinion Gear, 3x3mm Fine Thread Grub Screws, Motor Plate.
