This RC model assembly kit creates a vehicle which offers an excellent off-road drive. Moulded in detailed ABS plastic, its racy body is inspired by customised Volkswagen Beetles and features exaggerated fenders, a simplified rear end, triple auxiliary lights and more. Metal-plated parts recreate headlights, auxiliary lights and the rear depiction of the engine.
The GF-01TR gear-driven 4WD chassis is based around a lightweight and tough monocoque frame, with power provided by the centrally-positioned motor. Reduction gears on each axle slow drive shaft rotation for immense traction, great ground clearance and the ability to take on tough off-road terrain. The gearbox is sealed to protect from dust and debris and integrated into the frame; built-in differential gears provide superb traction and durability with the use of included diff putty. Four-wheel double wishbone suspension utilises friction shocks, while a 2-piece tie rod steering setup with the servo on the left gives excellent response. Yellow rims are fitted with 115mm diameter hybrid pin spike/lug pattern tyres for superior cushioning and grip.
The GF-01TR Monster Beetle Trail features a fun and comical design with its lifted stance and oversized tyres, while also delivering impressive off-road capabilities.
The Monster Beetle Trail's body is meticulously crafted from ABS resin, capturing the iconic shape and details of the original Monster Beetle. Plated parts, such as the auxiliary lamps, engine components, and muffler, enhance the realism and add a touch of style.
The Monster Beetle Trail utilises a gear differential with high-traction gum, providing excellent grip and control on challenging terrain.
Hub reduction units on all four wheels reduce driveshaft rotation and increase torque, enhancing the Monster Beetle Trail's climbing and crawling abilities.
The lowered wheel axle position increases the minimum ground clearance, allowing the Monster Beetle Trail to navigate rough terrain with ease.
The battery is positioned vertically at the rear of the slim monocoque chassis, optimising weight distribution and maximising space for the electronics.
The centrally mounted motor and gear-driven drivetrain ensure efficient power delivery to all four wheels, providing smooth and reliable performance.
The detailed body is moulded in red resin, depicting a customised Beetle with gaping fenders and triple auxiliary lights.
The front is adorned with triple auxiliary lamps, which are metal-plated parts with stickers for decoration.
Depictions of engine and muffler are metal-plated parts; the body also features a sporty roll bar.
All wheels have hub reduction units, which slow down drive shaft output for greater torque.
The chassis has higher ground clearance that further boosts its capabilities on tough terrain.
At the core of the GF-01TR chassis is a slimline monocoque which doubles as a gear case.
