A legend lives on! This is the re-release of the legendary Tamiya Hotshot 4WD buggy, which for a lot of hobbyists from this era was their first RC 4WD buggy and helped set the standard for remote control cars from the mid 80s to late 90s. The Tamiya Hotshot 4WD Buggy featured a basic but tough design with a range of optional parts such as ball bearings and 540 sized motors enabling the user to customize and tune their Hotshot 4WD buggy. The Tamiya Hotshot is still to this day renowned as being one of Tamiya's most legendary RC 4WD buggies. Tamiya have kept this re-released version of the Hotshot as close to the original as possible, with the major difference being an updated TEU-101BK electronic speed controller. Enjoy the satisfaction of building and painting your own RC car with Tamiya's easy to follow instructions. The Tamiya Hotshot is a great introduction into the exciting RC hobby.
The redesigned chassis boasts a unique 4-wheel double wishbone suspension, featuring distinctive front and rear mono-shocks. This innovative setup is engineered to provide exceptional handling and control over various off-road terrains.
Equipped with high-performance diaphragm-type oil dampers, the Hotshot ensures stable and controlled off-road driving. These provide consistent damping to absorb impacts effectively, maintaining superb stability across bumps and jumps.
A new propeller shaft, featuring a robust dog bone type linkage, is engineered to optimise power transmission efficiency. This ensures maximum power from your motor is effectively delivered to all four wheels for dynamic performance.
The iconic buggy body, complete with its distinctive large rear wing, remains perfectly faithful to the Hotshot's original styling. This classic design captures the essence of the legendary off-road racer, ensuring an authentic look.
An integrated aluminium heat sink effectively helps keep your motor cool during intense driving sessions, preventing overheating. This functional component also serves as an eye-catching highlight on the chassis, adding to its premium appearance.
Further enhancing the buggy's unique aesthetic, the triangular wheel hubs provide a distinctive and instantly recognisable look. These unique hubs contribute to the Hotshot's overall classic and individual styling, making it stand out.
