The all-new XV-02 Pro chassis kit is Tamiya's second modern era rally chassis platform. Building on the XV-01 Pro's 4WD belt drive system, the XV-02 Pro takes its 4WD drivetrain in a different direction by using a shaft-driven system with front mid-ship motor placement that incorporates equal length front and rear propeller shafts.

High Torque Steering Servo Assembly

The steering system is designed for precision and durability. The turnbuckle steering rod allows for easy adjustments, while the aluminium servo mount and high-torque servo saver provide a secure and reliable setup.

Double Wishbone Suspension

The double wishbone suspension, both front and rear, delivers exceptional handling and adjustability. The front features a 6-degree caster angle, long aluminium oil dampers, and turnbuckle upper arms. The rear suspension can be further customised with the optional OP.539 aluminium spacer set for adjusting the upper arm mounting position.

Centre Mount Spur Gear

The centrally located spur gear distributes power evenly to the front and rear wheels via equal-length aluminium propeller shafts, ensuring balanced performance and efficient power transfer.

Oil Filled Differentials

High-performance oil-filled gear differentials, housed in sealed gearboxes, provide smooth and consistent power transfer while improving durability and protecting the gears from the elements.

Vertically Mounted Battery Tray

The vertically mounted battery pack is cleverly rotated 90 degrees to minimise chassis width, improving agility and handling. The battery can be easily replaced by opening the front and rear holders.

Rally Style Wheels

The car's wheels and tyres are a perfect blend of classic design and off-road performance. Dish wheels and rally block tyres provide the grip and style needed to tackle a variety of terrains.

• Comes with two 39T differential gears and one 40T differential gear for adjustment of front and rear drive balance
• Use 39T gear (with 15T gear) on the front and 40T gear (with 15T gear) on the rear for drive balance bias to front, and vice-versa for drive balance bias to rear
• Features newly-designed parts such as gears, bathtub frame chassis, chassis cover, caster blocks featuring the 6-degree caster angle (XV-01 chassis: 10-degree caster angle), and bumpers with skid angles to reduce surface contact
• Motor mount, propeller shafts, input and center shafts, and urethane bumpers have new metal parts
• Longitudinal battery pack position in the center-left for optimum balance
• Long aluminium dampers are employed at front and rear
• Polycarbonate chassis cover with wheel well liners help prevent dirt and dust from getting inside
• Suspension arms and front uprights are based upon the XV-01 chassis kit
