Tamiya 2011 Avante RC Buggy Electric 4WD 1/10 Scale Kit
This kit comes without a Servo, Battery, Charger, or Transmitter and will come with an unpainted body that may require cutting and drilling.
This is a re-release of a Tamiya Radio Control classic. In March 1988, Tamiya released an electric R/C 4WD racing buggy called the Avante, which has since become a special machine in Tamiya's R/C history. The machine featured a unique shaft-driven 4WD system taken from Tamiya's first 4WD R/C buggy, the Hotshot, along with a highly sophisticated design including a FRP double-deck chassis layout, longitudinal motor and battery positions, a formula-type body with chassis fairing, a compact gearbox with 3 small planetary gears, a center diff for stability, fully adjustable suspension, and cam-lock wheel caps.
In 2011 the Avante returned to the Tamiya library with updates including universal drive-shafts and machined aluminum uprights, giving the 2011 version increased durability and performance over the original.
The car's chassis is engineered for both performance and durability, featuring a 2mm thick carbon double-deck that provides exceptional strength and rigidity.
Experience a smooth and accurate steering feel with the included racing steering set. The 2mm thick carbon plate construction ensures rigidity and responsiveness, enhancing overall handling.
The battery is mounted vertically on the right side of the vehicle, accommodating both 7.2V racing packs and LiPo batteries for flexible power options.
The car features cam-lock wheels that can be easily attached and detached without tools, simplifying maintenance and wheel swaps. The clamp-type pin hexagonal hubs provide a secure and reliable connection for worry-free performance.
Experience an improved level of off-road capability with the high-clearance suspension design. This configuration allows the car to navigate challenging terrain and overcome obstacles with ease.
The high-strength 3-piece tie rod steering system, constructed with durable metal parts, delivers precise and reliable steering control. The included radius arm protector absorbs shocks and protects the steering components from damage.
The car features high-quality components that improve both performance, aesthetic and durability. The machined aluminium uprights and metal damper cylinders with end caps contribute to a robust and easily maintainable suspension system. In addition the Avante parts have been anodised in an eye catching gold.
The car's drivetrain is optimised for both power and control. The 25 turn gold label motor delivers ample torque, while the spur gear with a built-in ball-type centre differential ensures smooth and predictable power distribution.
The rear suspension is reinforced with a durable carbon fibre shock tower and aluminium mounting block. This robust design ensures that the rear suspension can handle the stresses of off-road driving.
The polycarbonate under-cowl enhances the car's skidding performance, allowing for smooth and controlled slides on a variety of surfaces.
The rear wing is designed for both style and function. The polycarbonate construction provides durability, while the adjustable angle allows you to customise the downforce and control the car's posture during jumps.
