Tamiya M-06 1973 Alpine A110 RC Car Electric 2WD 1/10 Scale Kit (No ESC)
Tamiya M-06 1973 Alpine A110 RC Car Electric 2WD 1/10 Scale Kit (No ESC)
This kit comes without an ESC, Servo, Battery, Charger, or Transmitter and will come with an unpainted body that may require cutting, painting and drilling.
This R/C kit recreates the Alpine A110 with an orange Jägermeister livery on top of the proven and fun-to-drive M-06 chassis. The Alpine A110 was a French compact coupe featuring a lightweight FRP body based upon a steel backbone, rear-wheel drive chassis with the rear-mounted inline-4 engine positioned longitudinally. Production continued from its debut year 1963 until 1977, and the A110 attained fame after victory in the 1971 rally in Monte Carlo. In 1973, this car became the first World Rally champion and its Jägermeister orange livery version achieved a class victory in German circuit races.
The M-06 chassis features a rear-mounted motor, rear-drive setup and has a longitudinally-mounted battery pack, with R/C equipment positioned on either side for optimum balance and a low centre of gravity. 4-wheel double wishbone suspension uses dish design wheels, equipped with 60D radial tyres at the front and 60D super radial (hard) tyres at the rear. In addition, a 3-piece steering linkage offers nimble handling response.
The M-06 places the motor at the rear and powers the rear wheels. This creates a unique, snappy handling experience, rewarding precision and encouraging playful drifts.
The M-06 offers multiple wheelbase options (210mm, 225mm, 239mm). This allows you to fine-tune the chassis to match the body shell you choose, enhancing both scale realism and handling characteristics. This version comes with the 225 mm chassis instructions.
The battery sits lengthwise in the centre of the chassis. This promotes excellent balance, weight distribution, and a low centre of gravity, giving the car a planted feel when throwing it around corners.
All four wheels feature independent double-wishbone suspension with oil-filled shocks. This system soaks up bumps for smooth handling on various surfaces.
The M-06 chassis is small in footprint, making it perfect for tight spaces or indoor tracks. Yet, its construction prioritises toughness for worry-free bashing.
Tamiya as well as a range of aftermarket companies offer a vast range of hop-up parts and bodies for the M-06. This lets you personalise everything from performance to looks, making your M-06 truly yours.
