The UMX P-51D Mustang features a control unit and flight controller that includes an ESC and Spektrum receiver, providing real-time flight battery voltage telemetry. This data is sent to compatible Spektrum AirWare™ equipped transmitters (including DX6e, NX, and iX series) while you fly, keeping you informed.

The UMX P-51D Mustang arrives 100% factory-assembled and ready to fly straight from the box! It's equipped with industry-leading Spektrum 2.4GHz technology that binds to your 5+ channel DSMX®/DSM2® equipped transmitter, so you can be flying within minutes of opening the package.

The factory-installed brushless power system features a 2S and 3S-compatible out-runner motor. This setup delivers performance similar to the original with 2S 280–300mAh batteries (adapter may be needed). With 3S 300mAh batteries, it becomes one of the fastest UMX models, offering unlimited vertical performance!

You can use the included fixed landing gear, complete with a steerable tailwheel in the scale location, for taxiing, take-offs, and landings on smooth surfaces. Alternatively, leave the landing gear off for more speed and vertical performance when hand launching over and landing on grass.

Constructed with advanced EPS material, this model delivers a lightweight yet durable airframe that's also easily repairable with foam-safe adhesives. In the unfortunate event of damage, a full line of replacement/spare parts is readily available, ensuring long-term enjoyment.

As a Skill Level 2 aircraft, this model is ideal for RC pilots with some experience. While it's one of the easiest P-51s to fly, it's not suitable as a first-ever RC aircraft or a 'next step' after a basic trainer. Pilots should be comfortable with higher-performance ultra-micro models or similar larger aircraft before flying the UMX P-51D Mustang.
