The legendary Kyosho Scorpion is credited with taking the racing buggy category into the realm of pure motorsports. Even after 30 years since it was first released in 1982, the indelible mark of the Scorpion still exists with its many fans around the world. Kyosho is proud to renew this machine to all its former glory! While maintaining the wild and free spirit of the original Baja buggy style and chassis layout, the 2014 version features the latest in performance technology. It sacrifices nothing in speed and endurance on modern buggy racing tracks.
Like the original Scorpion, the 2014 version is packaged as an unassembled kit, but nearly all tapping screws and nuts have been replaced with improved lightweight and secure hex screws.
The Scorpion's timeless design is back, featuring a sleek and stylish aerodynamic body that's sure to turn heads on the track.
The Kyosho 2WD buggy range suspension arms are crafted from high-quality 6061-T6 forged aluminium, providing the ultimate combination of precision, rigidity, durability, and lightness. The wide front tread improves stability and control, allowing you to push the limits with confidence.
The Scorpion's two-piece die-cast aluminium gearbox houses durable diff gears and an adjustable slipper clutch for smooth and efficient power transfer. Fine-tune the slipper clutch to optimise performance on different surfaces.
Kyosho 2WD buggy range drivetrain features high-efficiency 48-pitch gears made from a combination of sintered alloy and nylon. Two gears are included for high-speed and low-speed settings, while an optional ball differential is available for further customisation.
The Scorpion's chassis is a masterpiece of design and engineering. The aluminium construction and countersunk underside provide a combination of strength, style, and performance.
The oil shocks, with their aluminium cylinders and stainless steel shafts, deliver smooth and effective damping. The signature colour caps pay homage to the original, adding a touch of nostalgia.
The Scorpion's wheels and tyres are designed for both performance and visual appeal. The high-grip tyres deliver exceptional traction, while the realistic moulded wheels with a satin chrome finish add a touch of class.
