Kogawa raced a similar prototype in the 1987 World Championships in Romsey, England, where the Kyosho team secured five of the ten spots in the main A final. This prototype was unique, as many production parts were not yet available, leading to the use of numerous CNC-machined aluminium and carbon fibre components, along with a modified Optima Pro body shell.
