The multi-purpose Mercedes-Benz Unimog is a truck with unrivalled off-road performance, and its name is an acronym standing for the German description "Universal-Motor-Gerät." The 406 Series U900, which has the ability to equip any of approximately 3,000 attachments, is now depicted on the proven Tamiya CC-02 chassis.

Designed for a wide range of off-road scenes including rocky terrain, the CC-02 chassis' ladder frame is inspired by full-size vehicles and is the base for its superior durability. A 4WD setup employs the motor longitudinally behind the front axle with a separated gearbox and transfer case, and propeller shafts transmitting power to the differential gears front and rear. The four-link rigid suspension is employed front and rear, with CVA oil dampers. This model comes with red wheels and grippy block pattern tyres.

Lockable Differentials

Front Mount Mid Motor

 The CC-02 delivers an authentic driving experience thanks to its scale drivetrain configuration. The motor is positioned in the front midsection, and power is transferred through a central gearbox and propeller shafts to both the front and rear axles, just like a real car.

This body shell comes completely UNPAINTED and may or may not require body post holes to be drilled. Only use a polycarbonate style paint such as the Tamiya PS series to finish these bodies, as standard paints will not adhere and/or cause damage to the body shell's surface.
