The popular Lunch Box model from Tamiya's catalogue makes a comeback in stylish black. This R/C assembly kit recreates a fun and boxy classic VAN with over-sized monster truck tyres. It is one of Tamiya's classic creations from the 1980s (first released in 1987) and has been a fan favourite for its original appearance as much as for its R/C performance. The boxy minivan body has been raised up over monster truck wheels to ensure that this R/C van will grab the attention wherever you choose to drive it.

The CW-01 is a simple and easy-to-assemble 2WD chassis with big tyres. The bathtub-type frame and suspension support the hollow tyres with a diameter of 115mm and has an independent front swing axle and rear rolling rigid coil spring, enabling dynamic driving even on rough roads. The reliable gearbox is sealed with a built-in differential gear. Hard acceleration on a grippy surface will let you lift the front wheels with the included rear wheelie bar, so you can feel like you're driving a real monster truck.

Independent Swing Axle

The chassis features independent swing axle front suspension and a rolling rigid rear suspension with coil springs and CVA oil shocks. The diagonally mounted steering servo and two-piece tie rod provide precise control, while the sealed gearbox houses the differential gear for smooth and efficient operation.

Bathtub Chassis

The main frame is a lightweight and strong ABS resin bathtub chassis that allows easy installation and maintenance of the internal parts. The battery is mounted at the lowest position for a lowered centre of gravity.

Independent Suspension

The front suspension is an independent type swing axle system. The steering system is equipped with the servo mounted diagonally and uses a 2-split rod.

Wheelie Bar

The rear suspension features a strong rolling rigid design for durability and stability, while the included wheelie bar prevents the vehicle from tipping over during wheelies, allowing for exciting stunts and safe driving.

Special Black Edition

This version of the classic Tamiya Lunch Box comes with a Black Body shell and rims for a custom look that stands out from the rest. No need to worry about painting, as the shell arrives in a sleek black design; just add your decals and chromed accessories, and you are good to go.
