The Tamiya Hotshot is a triumphant return of a true RC legend. This re-release of the groundbreaking 1985 buggy captures the spirit of the original while incorporating modern technology and performance enhancements for today's enthusiasts. The Hotshot was Tamiya's first shaft-driven 4WD R/C buggy, and now it's back to inspire a new generation of RC enthusiasts.
The Hotshot features a distinctive three-piece chassis with a low centre of gravity, providing a stable and agile platform for off-road adventures. The front and rear double wishbone suspension systems, along with the adjustable mono-shock oil dampers, deliver exceptional handling and control. The drivetrain has been updated with modern dog bone type propeller shafts for enhanced reliability, and the oil dampers are now the more modern diaphragm type. While the original aluminium heat sink is no longer necessary with modern ESCs, a dummy part has been included to maintain the classic Hotshot aesthetic.
