This kit has been roughly 30% completed with front, centre, and rear gearboxes factory assembled, allowing you to focus on the less complex parts of the build. Parts previously hidden in optional upgrade packs are now standard, offering a tuned-up beast out of the box. Equip the Mad Wagon with an entry-level or competition-grade R/C system and battery to match your ambition.
The iconic 1980s station wagon body style takes centre stage, with intricate details begging for your creative touch. Unpainted and ultra-scale, it features pre-plated bumpers and grille to save you time. Stick with the included decals for instant scale realism, or craft your own custom colour scheme.

The Mad Wagon kit features a robust aluminium main chassis with a resin subframe, similar to the Readyset version, but with enhanced performance due to the inclusion of various optional parts as standard. This upgraded chassis provides a strong and stable foundation for off-road driving.
The kit includes a 1.2mm thick polycarbonate body with chrome-plated headlights, grille, and bumper, along with a special decal sheet for customisation. Personalise your Mad Wagon and create a unique look that reflects your style.
The chassis comes partially pre-assembled, with the front and rear gearboxes, centre gearbox, and driveshaft already installed. This streamlined design saves time and effort during the build process. The differentials are filled with #10000 grease but can be tuned with different oil viscosities (sold separately) to fine-tune handling.
Upgrade your suspension with included aluminium oil shocks, typically offered as optional parts. These high-precision shocks offer consistent damping performance, even under extreme conditions, and feature a convenient dial-type ride height adjustment.
The kit includes turnbuckle upper arms with positive and reverse threads on both ends, replacing the fixed-length arms found in the Readyset version. This upgrade allows for easy camber angle adjustments, expanding the range of tuning options.
The front and rear differentials are equipped with machined steel bevel and ring gears for increased strength and durability. These upgraded gears can handle the power of brushless motors, ensuring reliable performance and longevity.
The included aluminium HD motor mount offers improved heat dissipation compared to the standard plastic version, reducing power loss and preventing damage to the pinion and spur gears.
The slipper clutch, designed to protect the drivetrain, is now made of lightweight aluminium, reducing rotating mass for sharper acceleration and improved performance. The finned design also enhances heat dissipation.
The kit includes an aluminium HD servo mount that provides high rigidity and precise steering response. Anodised in Kyosho's signature red colour, this upgraded servo mount enhances both performance and aesthetics.
