The Mamba Monster X 8S ESC paired with the 1520-1650Kv 4-pole sensored brushless motor is a perfect upgrade for 1/8, 1/7 and 1/6 scale vehicles weighing up to 18 lbs and running up to 8S LiPo. The 1520-1650Kv motor has a more compact diameter than the 1717-1650Kv, fitting into smaller spaces without chassis modifications.

The Mamba Monster X 8S utilises Castle's CRYO-DRIVE™ technology to reduce the rate at which the ESC heats up and remove heat more efficiently, enabling higher gear ratios, heavier vehicles, and longer runs. An open housing design, 40mm thermally controlled cooling fan, and forged elliptical fin heatsink maximise airflow throughout the system. The ESC is housed in a rugged CNC-machined aluminium case and potted in waterproof epoxy for all-weather durability.

Programming is available via the Castle Link USB adapter on Windows PC, or wirelessly using the B-Link™ Bluetooth™ Adapter and Castle Link app for Android or iOS. On-the-fly adjustments can be made through the Auxiliary wire once enabled in Castle Link. Data logging captures motor RPM, battery current and voltage, ESC and motor temperature, throttle input, and more in real time. Audible alerts notify of calibration issues and error conditions.

The 1520-1650Kv motor uses Castle's SmartSense™ mode to start with the motor's sensors for smooth starts and excellent torque, then transitions seamlessly to sensorless mode once the motor is spinning. QuietSense™ delivers the highest precision and most efficient startup in sensored motor design.

Warranty: Castle ESCs are warranted for one (1) year from purchase against manufacturing and component defects. Warranty does not cover abuse including incorrect wiring, over-voltage, overloading, improper gearing, improper motor selection, incorrect settings, insufficient batteries, or inadequate connectors. Drag and speed run setups are NOT covered by warranty. Applying voltages higher than 33.6V will cause irreparable damage to the ESC. Always monitor ESC and motor temperatures during the first run after modifying your system. Recommended battery capacity for 1/8 scale vehicles is 5000mAh at 50C continuous discharge or higher. Surge ratings should not be used to determine pack suitability.
