Tamiya 1/10 M-06 Lotus Europa Special RWD Electric On Road RC Car Kit w/o ESC
The Lotus Europa debuted in 1966, showcasing a revolutionary midship engine layout with a lightweight FRP body. In 1972 perhaps the finest model in the series, the Lotus Europa Special, was released with a 1.6-litre inline-4 engine (big valve twin-cam engine) capable of 126hp, which was the largest maximum output among the Lotus Europa series.
Tamiya has now remade this piece of motoring history in a 1/10 M-06 electric RC car ready for you to build and drive.
Key Features
The M-06 places the motor at the rear and powers the rear wheels. This creates a unique, snappy handling experience, rewarding precision and encouraging playful drifts.
The M-06 offers multiple wheelbase options (210mm, 225mm, 239mm). This allows you to fine-tune the chassis to match the body shell you choose, enhancing both scale realism and handling characteristics. This version comes with the 225 mm chassis instructions.
The battery sits lengthwise in the centre of the chassis. This promotes excellent balance, weight distribution, and a low centre of gravity, giving the car a planted feel when throwing it around corners.
All four wheels feature independent double-wishbone suspension with oil-filled shocks. This system soaks up bumps for smooth handling on various surfaces.
The M-06 chassis is small in footprint, making it perfect for tight spaces or indoor tracks. Yet, its construction prioritises toughness for worry-free bashing.
Tamiya as well as a range of aftermarket companies offer a vast range of hop-up parts and bodies for the M-06. This lets you personalise everything from performance to looks, making your M-06 truly yours.
