The M4 Sherman medium tank served as the backbone of U.S. armoured forces during World War II. Mass-produced in numerous variants, it proved to be a reliable and adaptable workhorse. The M4A3E8 "Easy Eight" version, introduced in late 1944, featured significant upgrades that boosted the Sherman's combat effectiveness. Equipped with a powerful 76mm M1 high-velocity gun and a new horizontal volute spring suspension (HVSS) system for smoother handling and increased speed, it excelled in the war's final stages and even saw combat in the Korean War.
