While preserving key elements of the outstanding MR-03 design, the MR-04EVO2 chassis takes performance to new heights through strategic enhancements to the front suspension and a lowered centre of gravity, seamlessly complementing a sensored brushless motor setup. It offers the flexibility of both narrow and wide tread configurations by simply swapping out the lower and upper plates on the front, along with adjusting the steering tie rod. Additionally, the adjustable wheelbase allows for precise chassis tuning to match the specific body type you're using. While the previous upper arm design optimised camber angles during cornering, the front suspension takes it a step further by incorporating the new kingpin-integrated knuckle, enhancing camber stability significantly. Geometric adjustments in terms of caster and trail have been made to achieve a smoother and more predictable manoeuvrability, resulting in a more linear steering response. For added versatility, a range of new front springs with varying hardness levels are now available as optional upgrades specifically designed for the MR-04 chassis. These enhancements collectively contribute to an improved driving experience and greater customisation possibilities for RC enthusiasts.

All ball bearings have been changed to a 3mm internal diameter. This allows for a low rotational resistance which minimises friction loss and leads to a longer lasting and fast drivetrain.

By relocating the AAA batteries to a lower position on the chassis, the MR-04EVO achieves a lower centre of gravity compared to its predecessor, the MR-03. This strategic adjustment, coupled with the redesigned chassis shape, results in enhanced cornering stability, improved speed and heightened control, making it a formidable choice for RC enthusiasts seeking superior performance on the track.

The ball differential is now included as a standard feature and optimises the rotational variances between the left and right rear wheels during turns. The updated unit also enables high-speed communication with a range of premium transmitters and receivers, resulting in unmatched control responsiveness. It achieves impressive transmission speeds of 0.99ms when paired with KO units (ADV mode) and 0.9ms when used with Futaba units (EVO2 mode). This marks a significant improvement from the previous transmission speeds, which ranged from 2.6ms to 3.0ms.
