A thick 1.5mm steel ladder frame with moulded cross members provides exceptional torsional rigidity to resist even the worst chassis twisting articulation. This extremely rigid backbone lets the suspension do the work it was designed to do. You’ll feel the difference on trails, where the elimination of chassis flex allows for precise wheel placement when navigating technical terrain.
The TRX-4's main battery tray accommodates the full-length Traxxas 5000mAh 3-cell LiPo or 7600mAh 2-cell LiPo for extended run times. Securely mount full-size LiPo batteries for extended runtimes, or opt for smaller 1/16 scale Traxxas batteries for reduced weight and improved agility. The innovative hinged battery strap eliminates the need for pins, ensuring quick and secure battery changes in the field. The strap even flips to adjust for batteries of different heights.
On conventional rigs with the limited gear reduction in the differentials, motor torque is applied to the frame to the point of twisting you right off the rocks. The TRX-4's radical portal axle design reduces the gear ratio at the wheels, virtually eliminating torque twist through the chassis. Total axle gear reduction is over twice non-portal designs, so Titan motor torque delivers smooth forward motion, not frame twist.
Dominate any obstacle with the TRX-4's massive Titan 21T motor. This powerhouse delivers unmatched torque to power through challenging terrain. An integrated cooling fan ensures extended runtimes and peak performance, even under heavy loads.

Experienced hobbyists will recognise the downsides in the ESC, Motor and shell choices VERY quickly. With the limited shell choices and lack of parts in Aus, I'd strongly recommend just getting a regular TRX-4, or the Sport Kit, UNLESS you can buy it with the narrow or no guard kits. The biggest challenge is trying to get everything you need in one go to play properly, especially with Traxxas treating Australia as a wet anus from space - required parts are rarer than hens teeth!
