Traxxas have paired their Velineon 3500kV Motor with the brilliant Velineon VXL-3S ESC to provide a reliable and incredibly quick set up. The ESC can be programmed to run three different settings, Sport mode (Forward, Brake and Reverse), Race Mode (Forward & Brake) and for beginners, the forgiving Training mode (Forward, Brake & Reverse) which allows the car to be set at 50% and allows this model to be a great starter car for people new to the hobby.
Traxxas have equipped the Slash with the Magnum 272R transmission, which isn't only tough, it's smooth. Its metal gears and silky ball bearings make handling power a breeze. Precise gears and flexible U-joints seamlessly deliver the punch, while the sealed design keeps everything pristine.
The Slash VXL's oil-filled Ultra Shocks utilise X-ring technology for a perfect seal and super-smooth performance. They are fully tunable with a wide range of oils, springs, and pistons. The Shocks feature pressure bladders for air/oil separation and spring clips to precisely change the ride height and spring pre-load.
Traxxas Stability Management (TSM) is an advanced driving assistance system that improves handling and control on a variety of terrains. Using gyroscopes and accelerometers, TSM constantly monitors your vehicle's movement and makes microscopic steering adjustments. These adjustments prevent wheel spin and maintain straight-line acceleration during launches, even on slippery surfaces. They also optimise cornering lines for faster exits and increased agility. Additionally, TSM ensures smooth, controlled braking with no wheel lockup.
The Slash's Torque-Control clutch is a master of cool and control. Its secret weapon? Semi-metallic friction material that laughs at temperature swings, delivering predictable grip on any adventure.
